As an AmeriCorps alumni, Jenny Walden leads a portfolio of poverty and hunger alleviation direct service programs with United Way of King County. Jenny holds a Masters in Social Work degree from the University of Washington and served her two practicums with School’s Out Washington and the International Rescue Committee, focusing on legislation, program development, and direct casework impacting youth in King County. Jenny and her team mobilize 200 AmeriCorps members annually, including 100 VISTA Summer Associates who are placed with partner organizations to prepare, serve, and promote summer meals as well lead enrichment activities for participating kids.  In addition to work, Jenny enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family.
