Da'Shon Carr

Da’Shon Carr is a Project Assistant at Public Profit. She is responsible for providing administrative support to the team. She assists with survey design and processing, data preparation, and data management.

Da’Shon works closely on a number of Public Profit’s evaluations, including: an evaluation of Oakland Unified School District’s out-of-school time programs, an evaluation of publicly funded comprehensive after school programs in West Contra Costa County Unified School District; an evaluation of the City of San Pablo’s Community Schools Collaborative, a mix of city-led and grantee-led agencies providing youth development programming in San Pablo schools; and an evaluation for the Center for Youth Wellness in San Francisco on a public education campaign called Stress Health which aims to raise awareness among parents and caregivers of the negative effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and toxic stress in children, and ways for them to counter these effects.

Prior to joining Public Profit, Da’Shon was a Program Coordinator for Pacer’s Achieving College Summer Algebra Academy, where 8th graders had the advantage to receive high school credit for Algebra, high school transition tips, and college enrichment opportunities. She has also had the opportunity to mentor low-income and first-generation college students through the UC Davis Early Academic Outreach Program. Ms. Carr earned BA degrees in Sociology as well as African American and African Studies at UC Davis.
